Please can you help

I ask for your services to install filemanger 1.5 and done a test with links and file you uploaded through fip and getting this error

Your server does not have the perl package "Archive::Zip" installed.
This is easily installed but it has to be done by your hosting firm.
Until this module is installed, certain features will not function correctly

All I want is to upload pdf files and view them can we getaround this

I contacted my host and ask to install these modules
Archive::Tar
Compress::Zlib
Archive::Zip
DBI
DBD::MYSQL

My host is saying that to install these I need a dedicated server is that correct because it didnt say that in your requirements page. If so I think it should be explaind

(Im not have a pop here lol) but i think it should be explaind

Please help
Kind Regards

Hi Tim,

Your host is being a bit, well how should I put this "naughty" by trying to upsell a Dedicated hosting package instead of installing these commonly used modules on your Shared server.

Most hosts are quite happy to do this even if its a Shared server.

Your original issue was that perl was not configured on your server to allow .pl and .cgi script to execute.

Your host appears to have resolved this issue, but now that the Module Checking script is able to run has detailed that it is missing some required modules.

Thankfully the modules that are missing are just Archive::Tar and Archive::Zip and these can be installed locally as part of the File Manager installation, although most of the modules on the requirements page have to be installed by the host.

Therefore as these are the only outstanding issues we will pickup your installation request tomorrow and hopefully get this all installed for you.
